Free Community Event Calendars

Community based calendars, otherwise known as the free press, are a great way to promote your event at little to no cost. No matter what you are promoting – from festival to business seminar to listening party, never underestimate the power of the community calendar.

You can almost depend on any paper to have dedicated a portion of the daily news to community events and calendars. This is the case even in the larger metropolitan areas. For instance, The Los Angeles Times has devoted a special website for this called ‘LA Calendar Live’http://www.calendarlive.com/.

So when you are planning your next entertainment or business event put the details in the calendar section of your local paper. Remember that plenty of people plan to go somewhere, but just need you to tell them that the somewhere to go is your event.
